On its 50th Birthday QSA does not need any presents. But we do need ongoing financial support to ensure that our partners can continue their valuable work.
As the excitement of Quaker Service Australia ’s 50th Anniversary celebrations subsides, the reality of the financial downturn is casting a shadow over our optimism. Sadly, we believe it is our partners overseas who will feel it the most.
This has been a tough year for many people. The bushfires in Victoria have changed the lives of hundreds of people forever, and the worldwide economic downturn has also affected many Australians. Job security, retirement savings and superannuation are no longer as certain as they once were. As a result of this crisis, donations to organisations working on long term development have diminished significantly.
We ask you not to forget QSA’s partners at this time. There are thousands of people around the world who depend on QSA funding, and who struggle to obtain enough income to feed and educate their families and to obtain the basic health care that we take for granted.
Please consider making a financial contribution, or spreading the word about the work of QSA. The latest brochure gives examples of the projects and partners that we support and explains why we are engaged in this work. To download the brochure, click here.
